Give new life to old concrete through concrete recycling for your next project in Ladson.
Over the past decade or so, being eco-friendly has gone from something that was seen as more of a “hippie” action into something more mainstream and not only accepted, but encouraged by the general population. Kids today are taught in school to “reduce, reuse and recycle.” Here at Ladson Wood Recycling, we are doing our best to fulfill all those “Rs” of that school adage by performing various tasks on a variety of construction materials, just one of which is concrete.
Concrete recycling is such an easy way to save and repurpose materials, it’s no wonder that it’s an idea that is quickly gaining steam. The process is simple. First, existing concrete that is damaged or old is torn up and crushed into a range of sizes, depending on what the end purpose will be. Then, the crushed materials are used as the base when mixing with cement and other materials to form new, pourable concrete. The newly formed, recycled concrete is a durable product that will cost the customer a fraction of the price, since they not only were saved the disposal cost of old materials, but were also able to save on the cost of new materials. It’s a win, win, win situation!
Here at Ladson Wood Recycling, we want to impress upon our customers that we are striving for the betterment of Ladson, South Carolina through the use of durable and cost-saving recycled materials, such as recycled concrete. If you would like to learn more about our process or some of the uses for recycled concrete, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We would love to answer any of your concrete recycling questions!
